MidWeek

1. We leave for Mexico on Saturday and things have been a bit crazy for me trying to get ready to leave. It is Spring Break, but I've had to study and take two tests this week. I have a professor who is very kindly letting me take a final early. The class doesn't last the entire semester and ends next week. I will be glad to be through with Clinical Eval.

2. I keep playing with and moving things around in our house. I'll look at something for a while and then decide something doesn't look right. This is currently our china cabinet. We are also thinking about getting hardwood on the stairs and in the landing upstairs. It is VERY needed. Trinket has had several "accidents" and those are high traffic areas. I have Stanley Steemer coming in two weeks, but really I think the carpet just needs to be replaced with hardwood.

3. I am not the most gifted gardener. In the past I've done well with growing tomatoes, but that's about it. I also do really well with plants at work, but then kill plants at home. This year I want to keep it simple, and do hydrangeas and hostas. I saw this on Pinterest and I love how it looks.  I really want to do better this year.

4. The Bachelor. I am SO happy he chose Whitney. She is a really great girl. I hope they will not be like every other couple from The Bachelor and break up. I am looking forward to The Bachelorette! I am also happy that Party Down South is back. Hannah Hott Dogg has made things interesting.

Tomorrow will be crazy taking my Clinical Eval final and getting ready to leave for Mexico. I also work tomorrow. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and next week!

  1. I love the idea of using hydrangeas and hostas as a simple flower garden, I've been thinking of something to do for our side yard (we have boxwood hedges on the front of our home) & I think that would be the perfect southern combo :) Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. A downside of hardwood, at least in our house, is that fur gathers on it. (But our floors are covered in crappy cheap paint that someone applied before we moved in, so maybe that causes fur to stick.)

  3. I'm the same way about moving stuff around in my house and getting bored with it really quick :) I have lots of hostas at my house and they are definitely an easy plant and they look good! I've never had hydranga's though but they are beautiful! Good luck :)
